Firefox Aurora & Mageia
  1. Download Firefox Beta:

    Firefox 21 x86_64 tar.bz2
  2. Double-Click on the Archive and Extract into /tmp Install Firefox on Mageia Linux Extraction
  3. Open a Terminal Window
    Linux Mageia 2 Gnome 3 Open Terminal
  4. Relocate Firefox Beta

    Login as SuperUser

    su

    Make a Firefox Directory

    mkdir /opt/firefox
    Move Firefox Into firefox-Beta so to Prepare for a Possible Firefox Multi-Version Coexistence
    mv /tmp/firefox /opt/firefox/firefox-beta

    Make a Symlink for Easy-Starting

    ln -s /opt/firefox/firefox-beta/firefox /usr/local/bin/firefox-beta
    Next you Can Start Firefox from Terminal with
    firefox-beta
  5. Create a Firefox Launcher on Gnome 3 Desktop:
