Download Oracle Java SE JDK 7:
- Find and Double-Click on the tar.gz Archive
Extract it Into the /tmp Folder.
- Open a Terminal Window
Pear Linux 5 >> Terminal

- Relocate JDK 7
sudo su
mkdir /usr/lib/jvm
mv /tmp/jdk1.7.* /usr/lib/jvm
- Update System Java to Oracle JDK7
update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/java java /usr/lib/jvm/jdk1.7.*/bin/java 1065
update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/javac javac /usr/lib/jvm/jdk1.7.*/bin/javac 1065
