Thunderbird17 x86_64 tar.bz2 - Double-Click on Archive and Extract Into /tmp
- Open a Terminal Window
- Relocate Thunderbird:
- Login as the SuperUser
sudo su
- Relocate Thunderbird
mv /tmp/thunderbird /opt/
Make a SymLink
ln -fs /opt/thunderbird/thunderbird /usr/bin/thunderbird
